Today’s UCOTD is a pure off-road rig. It’s a 1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with a new engine.
New engine, new hoses, new engine mounts — a lot of work has been done here. The automatic transmission has been rebuilt. The shocks are new Bilsteins.
There are lockers front and rear and Warn manual locking hubs in front, and off-road-ready bumpers.
Not everything is new — the tires have about 50 percent of tread life left. Though they, too, are off-road ready.
There’s a two-inch lift kit, reupholstered interior, and LED lighting. The A/C and electronics apparently work perfectly.
