Though it’s hard to celebrate more midsize SUVs on the American car market, Genesis has consistently been one of the more compelling options in several segments. The automaker updated the GV80 SUV for the 2025 model year, giving it a range of improvements, and recently announced pricing for the model shows that it didn’t increase the cost of entry by a large amount.
The 2025 GV80 starts at $59,050, including a $1,350 destination charge. Pricing ranges to $80,650 for the top 3.5T Prestige AWD model. Two powertrains are on offer, including the base turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 300 horsepower and a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 horsepower. All variants come with all-wheel drive.
Tech is a standout category for Genesis, and the GV80 comes standard with a 27-inch display that houses the digital gauge cluster and infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fingerprint authentication, over-the-air updates, and USB-C inputs are also standard.
The automaker equips a long list of standard safety tech, including blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, driver attention warnings, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, safe exit assist, parking distance sensors, lane keep assist, and more. Higher trims add Remote Smart Parking Assist, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a surround-view camera system.
Most of the new GV80 trims will be available at retailers as soon as June 2024, while some models will be available later in the summer.
