The Nissan GT-R has been around for so long that it’d be easy to assume it would always be on sale, but that’s not the case. Nissan recently confirmed that the 2024 model year would be the car’s last, and to celebrate its sendoff, the automaker is releasing two limited-edition models.

The T-Spec Takumi Edition cars get carbon ceramic brakes, widened front fenders, and a Nismo traction control system. It rides on gold 20-inch Nismo Rays wheels and carries gold accents throughout, including the VIN plate and gold trim on the engine intake cover. Two colors are available for the car, including Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade. The GT-R Skyline Edition brings Nissan’s iconic Bayside Blue paint and a blue leather interior.

Pricing for the limited cars starts at $132,985 for the GT-R Skyline Edition and $152,985 for the T-Spec Takumi Edition. Both prices include a $1,895 destination charge. Nissan hasn’t detailed how many of each car it will sell but said that there will be fewer than 200 units available, which will likely result in some noteworthy dealer markups.

Though this is the end of the road for the GT-R, Nissan isn’t giving up on performance. The automaker said it is turning its focus to the “next era of exciting innovation in performance,” which is a nod to its electric ambitions. We’ll likely see an electric GT-R with solid-state batteries in the near future.
