Kia released the EV6 a few years ago as its first dedicated EV and teased an update for the 2025 model year. We’re now getting a good look at the refreshed crossover, which gets revised exterior styling, new lighting elements, and a spruced-up interior.
Kia debuted the new EV6 for the UK market, so it’s important to point out that some specs and configurations could change when it arrives here. That said, the styling changes have made the vehicle look even more futuristic than it did before. It got a new LED light bar, fresh wheel designs, and reshaped bumpers. Inside, Kia added LED ambient lighting and a new steering wheel, and interior materials vary between trims.
The automaker also fitted its new batteries, with the new EV6 getting up to an 84-kWh capacity. That’s almost seven kWh more than previous estimates, giving the EV a range of up to 361 miles on the WLTP cycle in its most efficient form. Fast-charging capabilities are standard, with the vehicle able to add 213 miles of range in 15 minutes at its peak 258 kW charging speed. It can also fast charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.
Kia is selling the new EV6 in the UK, with pricing starting at around $60,000 after VAT. The vehicle should appear in the United States by the end of 2024 with a slight price bump over its current $42,600 baseline MSRP.
