An incoming senator has pushed for Stellantis to sell off Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram and for those brands to be acquired by an owner based in the U.S.
The question is, would such a move make those brands sell better — and, perhaps, create some American jobs?
Or are any problems these brands are any complete separate from where the parent company is located?
I mean, it’s not like the North American HQ in Auburn Hills has stopped serving that purpose.
Perhaps the issues facing the four American brands owned by Stellantis have been caused by the outgoing Carlos Tavares? Or other factors that have little to do with the nationality of the CEO — and, as mentioned above, the location of the headquarters?
